Professor Randy Pausch delivered the Last Lecture at Carnegie Mellon University on Sept. 18, 2007. The Last Lecture series asks preeminent individuals to give a lecture on things that really matter to them -- to imagine that it is the last talk they would ever give, because they would die afterwards. For Randy Pausch, the last lecture was not just a hyperbole -- he has been diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer. In August of 2007, he was given six more months to live.
As of today, Randy Pausch is still alive.
The lecture is over an hour long, but give it a try. Full transcript can be found here [PDF].
Updated: July 25, 2008
